Job Description:

HEALTH, SAFETY, & RISK MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR for the City of Ketchikan - Human Resources Department.  Regular, full-time; $6,418.26 - $9,039.33/Mo DOQ, plus excellent benefits. Performs professional level duties involved in the development, organization, implementation, and coordination of a variety of health and safety programs for the City; provides oversight and support for departmental Site Specific Safety and Health programs including substance abuse policies; conducts facility and field inspections and performs accident investigations; monitors worker’s compensation claims; and provides a variety of support to other City Human Resources functions, programs, and activities. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, business administration, public administration, risk management, or a related field. Five years of increasingly responsible experience in a safety program including two years of experience in administration of a safety program that has included training, program monitoring, and compliance.
