- Scan the QR code below to find the "Bound" scavenger hunt which is the easiest way, or search for Ketchikan (make sure to not include a space before or after Ketchikan, or the search will not work.)
- Locals form teams of one or many, choose a name and then follow the prompts around Ketchikan to find public art and view some of our oldest buildings & sites while learning interesting facts about each of them.
Those who complete the entire hunt by September 30
th will be eligible for prizes including $125 or a “Vintage” radio/LP/Bluetooth/Cassette/CD player.
- Hunt begins 8/12/2025 and people will be able to play at their own pace until September 30th

History Talk “From Totems to Today: 125 years of Ketchikan Life” September 9/13/25 1 pm to 4 pm. at the historic Creek Street Cabaret.
- History Talk featuring local historians and storytellers including AJ Slagle, Dave Kiffer, Richard Jackson, Barbara Morgan, and more.
- Each speaker will cover a different part of Ketchikan history from Ketchikan’s early beginnings to logging and fishing, growing up in the bush, aviation, and more.
- Sale of 125th Anniversary Merchandise
- This even will be recorded for the 125th time capsule and will be live-streamed by KPUtv+.
Free Live Music at Red Men Hall “Celebrate the Sound: 125 Years Strong" September 27, 2025 12 noon to 5 pm.
- Live music, Native dancers, Filipino Dancers in the historic Red Men Hall, which recently celebrated its 125th Anniversary also.
- An opportunity for locals to wander downtown and visit historical businesses, restaurants and organizations who will be participating in the 125th festivities.
A list of merchants and businesses participating will be advertised and added to this site.

- Alaskan Author Larry Johansen presents his new history of Baseball in SE AK at Ketchikan Public Library August 14, 2025 at 6 pm
- Larry Johansen will be giving a presentation at 6:00pm about the history of baseball in Southeast Alaska at the Ketchikan Public Library. He has just released a new edition of his book “The golden days of baseball : the story of baseball in frontier Alaska and the Klondike”.
