Renowned Haida weaver Holly Churchill will guide beginning students in learning and practicing foundational cedar bark weaving methods. Students will be introduced to material preparation and traditional Haida-style weaving techniques. Students will create a rattle-top basket with basic alternating colors and primary and secondary design.  This is a prerequisite for all upper-level weaving classes.
