FREE and open to all.
Haida carver Donald Varnell will talk about the painted drum and Tlaan chaagut’ ‘aang multimedia panel currently on display in Upholding Balance. He has many ties to artists represented throughout the exhibit, and will speak about his connection to pieces that have influenced and inspired him as well as how his current directions have developed.
This short presentation will start a few minutes after noon, last roughly 30 minutes, and may be followed by time for discussion, questions and further exploration. You are able to eat your lunch in the Programs space, please no food in the exhibit.
