The Ketchikan City Council cordially invites the public to attend a public forum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Ted Ferry Civic Center, 888 Venetia Avenue, Ketchikan, Alaska 99901. The purpose of the meeting is for a presentation from ECG Management Consultants regarding the PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center Lease, and to hear public comments.
What would you like to see in your community hospital?
The Ketchikan Medical Center (KMC), owned by the City of Ketchikan, is currently operated by PeaceHealth through a lease agreement that will expire October 8, 2023. In advance of the lease expiration, the City of Ketchikan has retained ECG Management Consultants to assess our current lease agreement with PeaceHealth and the services delivered to the community. This assessment will be shared with the City Council and community early this fall and will inform the Council on how they wish to proceed with an agreement for future hospital operations.
Public input during this process is invaluable, and we would like to hear from you.
- What are the key healthcare challenges facing our community, and how can the KMC be responding to these issues?
- How could the KMC improve upon the healthcare experience for patients and families?
- Which additional services would you like to see the KMC offer so patients and families do not have to leave the community for the care they need?
- Which tools, resources, and technology would you like the KMC to make available to you as a patient to provide more convenient care and support your personal health goals?
There are several ways to make your voice heard:
